                The Price of Progress
Commemorative Cultural Heritage Book | 2010

Produced for the 40th anniversary of IUPUI, The Price of Progress aspired to acknowledge and celebrate the African-American community on the near-Westside that was displaced as a result of urban renewal in the 1950’s. Documenting and compiling former residents’ memories, the commemorative book was intended to be a gift to the community, which would also provide the beginnings of a critical and reflective public discussion that examined the role IUPUI played in urban renewal.
